SIECCAN is inviting individuals and groups involved in the development, implementation, research and evaluation, and oversight of sexual health education programming to participate in an online consultation survey to provide input for the development of the new edition of the Canadian Guidelines for Sexual Health Education.
The Canadian Guidelines for Sexual Health Education guide professionals working in the areas of sexual health education and promotion to help provide effective sexual health education to Canadians.
The Guidelines were published by the Public Health Agency of Canada in 1998 and updated in 2003 and 2008. SIECCAN contributed to the previous editions of the Guidelines and will oversee, in consultation with its partners from across Canada, the development of the new edition of the Guidelines.
THE 2008 CANADIAN GUIDELINES FOR SEXUAL HEALTH EDUCATION
The development of the new Guidelines will begin with an assessment of the 2008 Guidelines to identify needed revisions and updates.
